ROSE LYTWYN Rose Lytwyn born July 24, 1918 in Winnipeg, passed away peacefully September 21, 2009 at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, at the age of 91. Rose is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Adeline Armstrong (Glen), and Shirley Bomak; granddaughter Connie Gale (Darren); grandson Bob Bomak Jr. (Stacey); great-granddaughter Madison Gale; sister Sharon Adele Mollons (Moon); and brother-in-law Jack Sebaski, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a dearly loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Pearl Strembicki, husband Peter, sisters Stella Backman and Millie Sebaski, and son-in-law Bob Bomak. Mom lived a full and happy life. She grew up in Winnipeg, married and moved to Ontario for seven years. Widowed, she eventually moved back to Winnipeg with two daughters in tow. She met and married Peter Lytwyn, working hard for many years before retiring to care for her granddaughter. She loved baking and gardening, and felt happiest when tending to her beautiful flowers. Thanks to all the staff and Home Care aides that made her time at Kildonan House so memorable, before her move to the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg in January of 2009. Thanks to the remarkable staff there, for their loving care over the course of her stay. Cremation has taken place, a private family service will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined, should friends desire, donations may be made to a favourite charity.
